At yesterdays Open De-Bug Meeting our check in question was: Do you believe in love? One person said she believed there was something greater than love that hasn't even been named.

Love in the Arabic language is of various kinds. "Ishq" is being head-over-heels IN LOVE for months, or a couple of years at most. It is good to have it for marriage, but you don't need it. "Muwaddah" is not in love, but loving someone with respect. A marriage needs it. "Hub" is worshipful love where you if your beloved isn't cool, nothing's cool, and if you have "Hub" for other than the Creator you go crazy. What is greater than the love you feel for people is "haqq": your duties toward them balanced by the rights due to you.

love is a wonderful thing but there's different types of love. Love for the lord, self, friends, family, lovers, pets etc. But whatever it is..it's endless. Enjoy it, cherish it but most of all give it.
