The case against Michael Walker -- the California state agent who shot and killed Rudy Cardenas is the first state agent in history to be charged for killing someone in the line of duty. The case began Wed. Oct. 19 in San José, CA (where the tragedy took place in Feb. 2004) and is expected to last 6 weeks. It has gotten to this point due to the family's commitment to get justice for Rudy and many community supporters who pushed for an open grand jury to investigate the case. The grand jury indicted Michael Walker and he is charged with manslaughter for mistaken identity killing.
What do people think about the Michael Walker trial?
Should a narcotics state agent who belongs to an elite team be treated as any other civilian in a manslaughter case?
